Guest service, kitchen operations, bar support, teamwork and daily operational tasks.
What I Learned
Kiri Bowling played a major role in my personal and professional development. Over the years, I grew from a relatively quiet and inexperienced employee into someone who felt comfortable taking responsibility and supporting colleagues. This experience helped me develop communication skills, resilience, teamwork and confidence. It also taught me the importance of reliability and maintaining a positive attitude during busy periods.
Grand Café Marron BRD semester (February-May 2024)
Responsibilities
Business Research & Development project focused on marketing, visibility and guest attraction.
What I Learned
This project taught me to look beyond daily operations and consider hospitality from a business perspective. I learned how different stakeholders can have different interests and how important communication and strategic decision-making are within hospitality organizations.
Hotel Notiz Practice (October 2024)
Responsibilities
Front Office Supervisor, supervising first-year students, giving feedback, supporting check-ins and check-outs, and coordinating daily front office operations.
What I Learned
This experience helped me further develop my leadership and communication skills. I learned how important coaching, feedback and clear communication are when guiding others. It also taught me how to remain calm and maintain overview during busy operational situations.
Drouwenerzand Internship(June 2025)
Responsibilities
Supporting daily operations within a busy recreational environment and observing different aspects of hospitality and guest service.
What I Learned
This experience taught me the importance of responsibility, safety and clear communication within hospitality environments. I learned that maintaining a safe and enjoyable experience for guests sometimes requires being more direct and decisive than I was naturally comfortable with. It also helped me become more aware of the balance between being approachable and taking responsibility when situations require action.
This experience contributed to my personal growth by helping me become more confident in speaking up and taking initiative when necessary.
Albron HR Internship (September 2025)
Responsibilities
Observing HR processes, employee experience initiatives and organizational support activities.
What I Learned
This experience introduced me to the people-focused side of organizations. I learned how employee wellbeing, communication and workplace culture contribute to organizational success. It also sparked my interest in Human Resources and employee development.

What I Learned
This experience allowed me to see hospitality and service from a different perspective. I gained more insight into responsibility, operational decision-making and supporting colleagues in a professional environment.

Shadowing a regional manager and observing operational leadership across multiple locations.
What I Learned
This experience provided valuable insight into leadership at a higher organizational level. I learned about responsibility, planning, people management and the realities of leadership positions. It also helped me better understand which aspects of management fit my own ambitions and values.
Albron Regional Employee (January 2026 - March 2026)

Managing multiple locations, supporting employees and contributing to daily operations.
What I Learned
Although this role was not the right long-term fit for me, it became an important learning experience. It helped me better understand what motivates me professionally and what type of work environment suits me best. I learned that personal satisfaction and job fit are just as important as responsibility and career opportunities.

Advising customers regarding travel and cancellation insurance, handling customer inquiries and providing professional support.
What I Learned
This role strengthened my communication, problem-solving and customer service skills. Working with a wide variety of customers taught me how important empathy, listening and clear communication are. It also helped me further develop my professionalism and confidence in customer-facing situations.
