Strengths

Analytical Thinking

One of my strongest qualities is my analytical thinking. I naturally observe situations carefully before acting and enjoy understanding how processes, people and situations work. This helps me make informed decisions and solve problems effectively.

Calm Under Pressure

During busy situations, I am usually able to remain calm and maintain an overview. Rather than reacting emotionally, I focus on finding practical solutions and supporting others where needed.

Problem-Solving

I enjoy finding practical solutions to challenges. Whether it involves teamwork, communication or operational issues, I naturally focus on improving situations and helping teams move forward.

Fast Learner

I learn quickly when I can apply knowledge in practice. Throughout my studies and work experiences, I have shown that I can adapt to new environments, responsibilities and challenges relatively quickly.

Weaknesses

Overthinking

Because I analyze situations thoroughly, I sometimes spend too much time thinking before taking action. While this often results in well-considered decisions, it can occasionally slow down my decision-making process.

Taking Initiative

In unfamiliar situations, I tend to observe first before stepping forward. Although this helps me understand situations better, it can sometimes prevent me from taking initiative as quickly as I could.

Self-Confidence

Although my confidence has grown significantly over the years, I sometimes underestimate my own abilities and question myself more than necessary.

Opportunities

Leadership Development

Through projects, internships and work experiences, I have many opportunities to continue developing my leadership and coaching skills.

HR and People-Focused Roles

My experiences within hospitality and the Albron HR department introduced me to people-focused career paths that align well with my strengths and interests.

Expanding Professional Experience

Every new work environment provides opportunities to further develop my communication, leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Threats

Self-Doubt

One of the challenges I still face is doubting myself in unfamiliar situations. This can sometimes prevent me from fully showing my capabilities.

High Expectations

I often place high expectations on myself. Although this motivates me to perform well, it can also create unnecessary pressure.

Stress During Busy Periods

Hospitality environments can be demanding. While I generally stay calm under pressure, prolonged busy periods can lead to fatigue and reduced energy levels.

SMART LEARNING GOALS

 Taking Initiative

Specific:
I want to become more proactive in both group projects and professional environments by contributing ideas earlier and taking initiative more often instead of first observing for a long period of time.

Measurable:
During every group project or professional assignment, I will actively contribute at least one idea or suggestion during the first meeting and volunteer for at least one responsibility.

Achievable:
This goal is realistic because I have already become more confident over the past few years and have successfully taken on responsibilities during experiences such as Hotel Notiz and my work roles.

Relevant:
As I aim to develop into a professional who can guide and support others, becoming more proactive will help me grow as both a team member and future leader.

Time-bound:
I will work on this goal throughout the coming academic year and evaluate my progress at the end of each project or assignment.

 Leadership Development

Specific:
I want to further develop my coaching and leadership skills by providing clearer guidance, feedback and support to colleagues and team members.

Measurable:
During future work experiences and projects, I will consciously seek at least one opportunity each month to coach, support or provide constructive feedback to someone.

Achievable:
I already gained experience with this during my role as Front Office Supervisor at Hotel Notiz and through leadership-related responsibilities in previous jobs.

Relevant:
This goal aligns with my interest in people-oriented roles, leadership and potential future positions within HR or management.

Time-bound:
I will evaluate my development every three months and reflect on situations where I successfully applied leadership skills.

 Confidence in My Own Abilities

Specific:
I want to increase my confidence by trusting my own knowledge, skills and decisions more often instead of doubting myself unnecessarily.

Measurable:
At the end of each month, I will reflect on at least three situations where I successfully handled a challenge, made a decision or contributed positively to a team.

Achievable:
Over the past few years, I have already become significantly more confident, making this a realistic next step in my personal development.

Relevant:
Greater confidence will help me perform more effectively in professional environments and support my future career ambitions.

Time-bound:
I will actively work on this goal throughout the next academic year and review my progress every month.

REFLECTION ON MY GROWTH

When I compare myself to the beginning of my studies, I notice a major difference in my confidence and professional attitude.

At the start of my education, I was often insecure in group situations and preferred observing instead of immediately taking initiative. Over time, practical experiences taught me how important communication, teamwork and responsibility are.

I became more confident, more structured and more comfortable within professional situations. I also developed a clearer understanding of the type of professional and leader I want to become in the future.
